Smart and safe – AI 60+
You and AI – and there is always a person beside you. A short course on your own phone, in a small group, at your own pace.
What you learn
- How to ask an AI assistant everyday questions on your phone – a recipe, a letter, a timetable.
- What AI is good at, and when you should not trust it.
- How the most common scams work: the "bank" calling, the fake helpdesk, the "grandchild in trouble".
- What a cloned voice can and cannot do – and one simple family rule that stops it.
Don't fall for it – by phone, by message, and now with an AI voice
Most scams still arrive the old way: a phone call or a message from someone who pretends to be your bank, the police, a helpdesk or a relative. AI makes their voices and texts more convincing, so it pays to know the signs. A cloned voice is a real but smaller part of it; the call and the pressure to act fast are the main danger.
Three rules you take home
- Hang up and call back – on the number you already know, never the one they give you.
- Agree a family password that only you and your family know.
- No bank, police or helpdesk will ever ask for your codes or ask you to move money.
How a session works
- A small group of up to 12 people in a library, a club or a community centre – or a single 90-minute taster talk for a bigger group.
- Everyone uses their own phone. We help you set up large text and an assistant app.
- Every session starts by repeating the last one. Questions are always welcome.
- One session together with a family member – a child or grandchild.
- You take home a large-type booklet and a card for the fridge with the three rules.
